Just thoughts, mainly for the curious googler who wants to know what the "emigre" who used to do Iraq Blog Count really thinks. Not a heroic effort and not always pleasant, just a diary for anyone who is curious about what motivates "emigre". Is she a goody or a baddie in other words. And does she think the war is right or wrong and does she have a religion etc. Well no, she doesn't have a religion that could be named in any way although she certainly has her beliefs and a strong moral code.
It may be agreeable for certain people to live a retired life in a quiet place away from noise and disturbance.
But it is certainly more praiseworthy and courageous to practice Buddhism living among your fellow beings, helping them and being of service to them.
