Emigre's diary

Just thoughts, mainly for the curious googler who wants to know what the "emigre" who used to do Iraq Blog Count really thinks. Not a heroic effort and not always pleasant, just a diary for anyone who is curious about what motivates "emigre". Is she a goody or a baddie in other words. And does she think the war is right or wrong and does she have a religion etc. Well no, she doesn't have a religion that could be named in any way although she certainly has her beliefs and a strong moral code.

Gasp. And that's why I've never been keen on revolutions really.

On another hand - raises issue - what is a democracy now? Or what is one understood to be. Because frankly, a lot of them aren't displaying especially democratic traits. Between Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and various patriot acts it's all a bit weird really. Is there one single democracy left, anywhere in the world?
