The nasty cheap fix II

Any blogger who writes all these wars are not about energy resources, specifically certain large consumer populations running out of them, is quite simply an intellectual fraud. There is no way that anyone can be that uninformed and keep a blog.

Observe, an oversized economy desperate to supplement it's dependence on fossil fuel;

Go for it, Bush tells nuclear industry

George Bush has made the first visit to a nuclear plant by a US president in 26 years and declared: "It is time for this country to start building nuclear power plants again."

...Mr Bush said that since the US stopped ordering reactors, France had built 56 of them; China, he said, is working on eight. He contrasted oil, whose consumption in the US grows even as the nation's production of it declines, with an energy source that he called "completely domestic", though in fact the business of designing new reactors, and making fuel for existing ones, is now mostly globalised.
more.

Imagining a horrid and alternative universe, where wars are fought not over oil, but over Uranium...

Australia has the largest supply of uranium, with 28 per cent of known recoverable resources, followed by Kazakhstan (15 per cent), Canada (14 per cent) and South Africa (10 per cent).

Stop the world, I want to get off.
